Join team CSIRO and support the People function along with internal stakeholders and the organisation more broadly in the areas of people metrics and reporting. You will be providing the people community invaluable assistance through the provision of regular and ad-hoc workforce reporting, which you'll draw on from your extensive knowledge of data processes and manipulation. Armed with your knowledge of a range of HRIS and Microsoft systems (such as SAP, Spinifex, SuccessFactors, Excel), you will be the first point of contact for all customers, and using exemplary written communication skills, provide solutions to enquiries and respond to customer reporting needs.

Your duties will include:

  • Act as the first point of contact to all People Reporting and Analytics enquiries- professionally managing enquiries and customer expectations and allocating work across the team
  • Provide accurate and timely data and information to customers, based on already established/delivered reports, using data wrangling, interrogation, and management skills such as filtering, summarising, counting and cross-validating reports, ensuring a high level of data accuracy, quality and integrity.
  • Understand CSIRO People reporting requirements and analyse, organise, and present data and information to assist with senior management decision making.
  • Liaising with People Business Partners, professionally and confidentially manage registers and spreadsheets ensuring tracking databases are consistently up to date
  • Coordinate the reporting system (Spinifex) – maintaining report schedules and updating scheduled reports as requested
  • Maintain team Sharepoint and webpages and assist the team with design and proofreading
  • Identify and escalate opportunities and initiatives to streamline processes using systems solutions
  • Demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop in the People Analytics space, with a view to improve data literacy and grow further in the team
  • Assist in ensuring HR systems are available, tested, maintained, and enhanced to support core HR operations to meet current operational and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships and networks with key stakeholders.

Location: Canberra ACT preferred, but remote work may be offered from any CSIRO location Australia-wide

Salary: AU$$68k to AU$86k per annum (pro-rata for part-time) plus up to 15.4% superannuation

To be considered you will need:

  • Ideally 2 plus years work experience (or equivalent tertiary qualifications), working with data and reports, preferably in Human Resources or People related domain.
  • Demonstrated proficiency across the data management pipeline for example with preparation, manipulation, analysis and visualisation of data in a variety of contexts using software such as Excel, SAP Analytics Cloud, R (preferred). Experience with other analysis/data management/visualisation systems (such as Analysis for Office, Alteryx, Python, PowerBI, SQL) also highly regarded.
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills, evidenced through outstanding customer service, including the ability to convey information and ideas clearly and succinctly to individuals to inform and consult with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a higher degree of ambiguity, adapt to a changing role and a desire to accept and learn new skills and tasks.
  • A significant track record of integrity, tact, and the ability to handle personal, sensitive, and confidential information, understanding of appropriate use and disclosure of personal information and relevant privacy legislation.

Desirable

  • Experience with HRIS systems, specifically SAP, Spinifex and/or SuccessFactors
  • Experience with visualisation and design- presentation of information visually, understanding how colours, formats, fonts, and graphics contribute to the delivery of a key message.
